Rental cars Book now

Yes, you’re welcome to drop by and see if we have cars available! While we do our best to accommodate walk-in requests, we cannot guarantee the availability of a specific car without a prior booking.

It’s rare for all of our cars to be rented out at the same time, so feel free to visit us, and we’ll do our best to find a car that suits your needs.

After we confirm your booking, you’ll receive a payment link to secure your reservation with a 30% deposit. The remaining balance can be paid upon arrival, either by credit card (VISA or MasterCard) or in cash (Euros).

Furthermore it’s essential to ensure sufficient funds are available on your card to pay the excess level, as this amount would also need to be covered by you in the event of an accident.

In most cases, a security deposit is not required. However, under certain circumstances, customers may need to provide a deposit equal to the full excess level. This is determined based on factors such as age, track experience, behavior or attitude, language barriers, residency outside the EU, booking a high-end vehicle, or other considerations. The decision is made at our sole discretion to ensure the safety and security of all parties involved.

If a deposit is required, it can be paid by credit card. It’s essential to ensure sufficient funds are available on your card, as this amount would also need to be covered in the event of an accident.

To make the most of your Nürburgring experience, we recommend that you arrive well-rested and in full control of your faculties. Please note that intoxication of any kind – including alcohol, drugs, or strong medication, is strictly prohibited.

Please bring the following with you:

  • A valid driver’s license (required for all drivers).
  • Your passport (required for all drivers).
  • Your booking confirmation to ensure a smooth check-in process.

In addition, we suggest wearing comfortable clothing and footwear that allows for precise control while driving. Avoid bulky shoes or anything that might limit your ability to handle the pedals effectively.

Being well-prepared ensures you can fully enjoy your time on the track without distractions.

Yes, it’s possible to share a car!

For example, if you and a friend or a family member book a car and each drive 4 laps, you can benefit from the discounted lap price of 8 laps. However, each driver will have a separate rental agreement to ensure proper insurance coverage and registration as the sole driver during your time on the track.

This guarantees that all drivers are fully covered and compliant with our rental terms while enjoying the Nürburgring experience together.

The 30% deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel your reservation:

Between 7 and 14 days before the reservation date: An additional 30% will be charged, totaling 60% of the full price.

Within 7 days of the reservation date: An additional 60% will be charged, totaling 90% of the full price.

Fees for instruction laps or reduced excess options are fully refundable in all cases.

Driving at the Nürburgring

For drivers between 18 and 23 years old, we require that the first lap is completed with an instructor, and on certain cars, instruction may be mandatory for the first one or two laps.

While an instructor is not mandatory for all drivers or cars, we highly recommend having one onboard, especially if it’s your first time driving on the Nürburgring. The Nordschleife is an incredibly challenging track with blind corners, unpredictable weather, changing tarmac conditions, and fast-moving traffic. An instructor can guide you through these complexities, helping you feel more confident and ensuring a safer and more enjoyable experience.

Even experienced drivers often find tremendous value in having an instructor onboard. With their knowledge of the track’s layout and key sections, they can help you improve your driving skills and learn the Nürburgring much faster. Whether your goal is to gain confidence or maximize your performance, booking a coach is one of the best investments you can make for your Nürburgring adventure.

Driving on the Nürburgring comes with a set of important rules designed to ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment. Here are some key guidelines to keep in mind:

  • Yellow flags / Flashing yellow lights: These signal danger ahead. Overtaking is prohibited, and you must reduce your speed to a maximum of 50 km/h (~30 mph) while passing the hazard area.
Check Traffic Constantly: Always check your mirrors, especially before corners. Faster cars can approach quickly, so stay aware of your surroundings.
  • Overtaking: Overtaking is allowed only on the left-hand side. Passing on the right is strictly prohibited and can result in being banned from the track.
  • No stopping: Stopping on the track is not permitted unless you’ve had an accident or your car experiences issues.
  • Accidents: If involved in an accident, move your car to the side of the track if possible, then immediately exit to the other side of the safety barriers.
  • Emergency situations: If you notice a leak from your car (oil, coolant, or fuel), pull over safely, cross the barriers, and call the Nürburgring emergency number: (+49) 0800 0302 112. Warn other drivers while staying behind the barriers.
  • Drive within your limits: Keep your speed appropriate to your skill level. It’s better to take it slower and stay safe, especially when approaching unfamiliar corners.

We’ll provide a detailed safety briefing before you leave our garage to ensure you’re familiar with all track rules and can enjoy your experience to the fullest.

You can find more information about the rules that apply to driving on the Nürburgring on their official website.

Absolutely! You don’t need prior track experience to enjoy driving on the Nürburgring. Our fleet includes cars that are well-suited for beginners, and we’ll provide a comprehensive pre-drive briefing to ensure you’re comfortable and prepared before hitting the track.

All you need is a valid driver’s license and basic car control skills. If you’re a completely new driver with no driving experience, we recommend considering a taxi lap as an exciting and safer way to enjoy the Nürburgring.

If you’ve been banned from driving by the track marshals, it’s important to understand that their decision is final and based on safety concerns or violations of Nürburgring regulations. Unfortunately, this means you won’t be allowed to continue driving, even with a different car. Any remaining laps booked will be forfeited without a refund.

We strongly advise all drivers to follow the track rules and guidelines provided during the briefing to avoid such situations and ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone.

Track closures can happen due to accidents, weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances, and these situations are beyond our control. If the track closes and you are unable to complete your laps, don’t worry – you won’t lose them.

Here’s what we offer:

  • Reschedule: You can complete your remaining laps on the next day (based on availability) or at a later date of your choice within 2 years.

If the track is entirely closed for the day (e.g., due to weather such as snow or fog) and you have not yet started driving, we will refund 100% of your payment. This ensures you can plan a new Nürburgring adventure without losing out.

Yes, you can bring passengers onto the track in our rental cars! Depending on the car, there is space for 2 to 4 people (check the car descriptions on our website for details). We also provide helmets for passengers to ensure their safety during the ride.

Please note that passengers must be at least 12 years old or 150cm tall, as required by German traffic regulations. Bringing a friend or family member along is a great way to share the Nürburgring experience!

Additionally, our rental cars cannot be used for taxi laps or commercial passenger rides.

Yes, the Nürburgring remains open even when it rains. The track only closes in extreme weather conditions, such as heavy fog, snow, or ice, which make driving unsafe.

Rain is a common occurrence at the Nürburgring due to its location in the Eifel mountain range, known for its micro-climate that can bring all four seasons in a single day. While rain may seem like a challenge, it can actually make for a valuable learning experience.

The track tends to be quieter, with fewer cars and no motorcycles, giving you a chance to focus on improving your skills and learning the circuit at a more controlled pace. Embrace the Green Hell in all its forms – rain or sunshine!

Insurance and accidents

Yes, all our cars come with insurance that includes an excess amount in case of an accident. You are responsible for covering damages to the car up to this amount, but the excess can be reduced for an additional cost before the rental begins.

It’s important to note that any damage to the Nürburgring track itself, as well as recovery costs, are not covered by the insurance and remain the customer’s responsibility. For this reason, we strongly recommend only renting a car that aligns with your budget and comfort level.

For full details about insurance coverage and terms, please refer to our ‘Terms and Conditions‘.

The high excess levels are due to the unique and high-risk environment of the Nürburgring. Insuring a rental car for use on such a challenging track comes with significant costs, and lower excess levels would make the rental price prohibitively expensive.

To provide more flexibility, we offer the option to reduce the excess level for an additional fee. Additionally, we strongly recommend booking an instructor to enhance your track knowledge and driving skills. Not only does this improve safety, but it can also help reduce the risk of costly accidents.

Crashing a rental car on the Nürburgring is a rare but serious possibility, and it’s important to handle the situation calmly and responsibly. Here’s what you need to know:

Immediate Steps to Take

  1. Pull over safely: If possible, park the car on the side of the track in a safe location. Before exiting the vehicle, check your mirrors to ensure no traffic is approaching from behind.
  2. Exit safely: Once it’s safe, get out of the car and cross to the other side of the barrier for protection.
  3. Call for assistance: Contact Nürburgring marshals by dialing +49 0800 0302 112. The marshals will send help, such as a recovery truck, and assess the situation. Follow their instructions carefully.
  4. In case of an accident with another vehicle: The police will typically investigate to determine fault. Both parties may be held partially liable depending on the circumstances (e.g., one driver overtaking unsafely and the other failing to check mirrors).

Your Responsibilities in a Crash

  • Car damages: You are liable for damages to the rental car up to the maximum excess amount stated in your rental agreement. This applies regardless of fault, as the excess is a standard part of track insurance.
  • Track damages: If barriers are damaged during the accident, you are responsible for covering the repair costs, as well as charges for recovery trucks and any administrative fees imposed by the Nürburgring.
  • Liability on public sessions (Touristenfahrten): During public driving sessions, liability is often shared between drivers based on fault. If you are not at fault and the other party’s insurance accepts responsibility, you may be reimbursed.
  • Liability on track days: During track days, the “you pay for your own car” rule applies, meaning you are only responsible for the damages to the rental car, track, and associated recovery costs.

Financial Considerations

  • Excess limit: The maximum excess ensures you are not responsible for repair costs beyond this amount, even in cases of severe damage or total loss. For example, if the maximum excess for a car is €10,000, that is the most you would pay, even if repairs exceed this amount.
  • Minor damages: For smaller incidents, such as scraping a bumper or breaking a mirror, you will only need to cover the cost of repairing those specific parts.
  • Uncovered costs: Track insurance does not cover recovery truck fees, barrier repairs, or administrative charges from Nürburgring management.

How to Avoid Issues

  • Drive within your limits: The Nürburgring is a challenging track. Staying within your comfort zone reduces the risk of accidents.
  • Use an instructor: Having an experienced instructor onboard can improve your track knowledge, build confidence, and significantly lower the chances of a crash.
  • Be aware of the rules: Following track rules, staying vigilant for faster cars, and avoiding risky maneuvers are key to a safe experience.

By driving responsibly, respecting the track, and paying attention to our safety briefing, you can greatly reduce the risk of accidents and ensure your Nürburgring experience is both safe and unforgettable.

If the car breaks down during your rental, we will investigate the cause to determine responsibility. Our advanced data logging systems and cameras allow us to assess what happened.

  • If you are NOT responsible: If the breakdown is due to a mechanical issue or fault outside of your control, you will not be charged for repairs or towing.
  • If you are responsible: If the breakdown is caused by driver error – such as shifting into the wrong gear and over-revving the engine, going off-track and damaging wheels or suspension, or similar actions – you will be required to cover the repair costs. These costs are capped at the maximum excess amount specified in your rental agreement.

We aim to resolve issues quickly and ensure you can get back to enjoying your Nürburgring experience whenever possible. Always drive within your limits to reduce the risk of breakdowns and associated costs.

If damages occur to the Nürburgring track – such as to barriers, signs, or other infrastructure – you, as the driver, are responsible for covering these costs. This includes repair expenses for any damage caused by your accident, as well as associated fees like recovery truck charges or administrative costs imposed by the Nürburgring management.

Track damages are not covered by the insurance provided with your rental car, so it’s important to drive responsibly and within your limits to avoid unexpected expenses. During our safety briefing, we’ll cover all the essential rules to help minimize risks and ensure you can enjoy the track safely.
